President Biden believes health care is a right, not a privilege, and will do everything in his power to ensure that all Americans have access to quality, affordable health care – especially in the midst of a pandemic. Starting February 15 and running through May 15, 2021, the Biden-Harris Administration is opening HealthCare.gov for all Americans to have the opportunity to sign up for health insurance.
Now, everyone will be able to use a special enrollment period, explore their options for health insurance, and help secure some peace of mind as we work to beat the pandemic and strengthen and build on the Affordable Care Act.
We want to expand this opportunity to all Americans. That’s why the Department of Health and Human Services is opening this Special Enrollment Period. It’s not just what the American people need, it’s what they want – the resources to beat the pandemic, save our economy, and start getting our lives back to normal.
